K. Elizabeth O’Dea

Beth is an Officer with the law firm of PennStuart, and is a member of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group. Beth works in the firm’s Richmond, Virginia office and focuses her practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims, including claims against uninsured employers. She specifically enjoys navigating complex cases, and strives to work respectfully and professionally with all parties to reach amicable resolution of difficult issues.

During law school at the University of Richmond, Beth devoted her time to an in-depth study of workers’ compensation laws across the country as well as various legislative proposals at that time to create a medical fee schedule for workers’ compensation claims in Virginia. This allowed her to develop a specialized understanding of complex workers’ compensation issues and the relationships between workers’ compensation, Medicare, taxes, business development, and employment. During her time at PennStuart, Beth has taken a special interest in the complexities of Medicare, including the impact on case handling and settlements.

She lives in Bon Air with her husband and their children. They enjoy spending time together doing activities that involve live music or sports, and exploring all the great restaurants Richmond has to offer.
