Ramesh Murthy is an Officer in PennStuart's Abingdon, Virginia office, and Chairman of the firm's Workers' Compensation and Black Lung Practice Group. Mr. Murthy's practice is limited to the counseling and representation of industry in human resource matters in Virginia and Tennessee. A large percentage of his practice is devoted to the defense of workers' compensation cases. Mr. Murthy has extensive experience in the litigation of cases including, but not limited to, occupational injuries and/or diseases, FMLA, ADEA, ADA and Title VII. His global practice is limited to human resource matters.
Mr. Murthy lectures extensively on employment and workers' compensation issues in Virginia and Tennessee and has presented numerous in-house client seminars across the East Coast. He has also authored four published articles in his field of practice.
Mr. Murthy has served as President of the Washington County Virginia Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, he served as Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys through October 2010. In addition to his role as a counselor, Mr. Murthy is a litigator. He has tried thousands of cases during his career.
